Getting to Valencia

Flying directly to Valencia:

Valencia Manises Airport is situated around 8Km. to the west of the city.

Daily flights arrive from all across Spain and Europe, with the majority coming from London, Paris, Madrid, Palma de Mallorca and Sevilla.

Valencia Airport offers a wide variety of facilities, tourist information, assistance with luggage, coffee bar, car rentals, bus service to Valencia, taxis.

On arrival it is best to get a taxi from the airport so that you can get to your accommodation without walking through the streets with your luggage. Taxi stops are at the arrivals area of the airport and costs about 15€ to the city.

Metro Line 3 and Line 5 both link the airport with other Valencia stations,  (roughly 25 minutes away). These trains are the cheapest and fastest transport option available for getting into the city centre.

Getting to Valencia by High Speed Train

Valencia Joaquin Sorolla Train Station is the new station for high speed trains.

There are 10 high speed trains (AVE) per day from Madrid to Valencia which lasts 1 hour and 35 minutes. Other high speed trains (ALVIA) per day are also available and takes around 2 hours and 10 minutes.

There are 10 high speed trains (EUROMED) per day  from Barcelona to Valencia, and takes around 3 hours.

Getting to Valencia by Bus

There are many buses each day to and from the other large Spanish cities like Madrid or Barcelona. You can check times and prices and even choose your seats. The bus station is on the North of the City  and you will need to get a taxi or a bus to get to the centre.

Driving to Valencia

The Spanish road network has improved a lot in the last 20 years and there are good roads to all other Spanish cities. It takes about 4 hours from Madrid, 4 hours from Barcelona.

The A7 motorway links the city to all the major European road networks.
