The final stage of the greatest meeting of particle physicists starts today. The plenary sessions of ICHEP will take place from today to Wednesday July 9th and they will be broadcasted live on the Internet. Today's session was opened by the Spanish Secretary of State of I+D+i and the Counselor of Education of the Generalitat Valenciana. In a press conference afterwards participated the Director-General of CERN, Rolf-Dieter Heuer, Alan Guth, father of the theory of cosmic inflation, and Juan Fuster, co-president of the Conference.

Tomorrow, at the Congress Palace in Valencia, the 37th International Conference on High Energy Physics (ICHEP), organized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP), will begin. It is considered the most relevant meeting in the community of high energy physicists, and where the most recent results in the field of particle physics are announced. A press conference attended by Nobel Prize laureate François Englert, the co-chairman of the Organizing Committee Juan Fuster and CERN's Director General Rolf-Dieter Heuer, will be held on Monday 7 July.
Mañana arranca en el Palacio de Congresos de Valencia la 37ª Conferencia Internacional de Física de Altas Energías (ICHEP), donde se anuncian los resultados más recientes en el ámbito de la física de partículas. El lunes 7 de julio se celebrará una rueda de prensa con la presencia del Premio Nobel de Física 2013 François Englert, el presidente del comité organizador del congreso Juan Fuster, y el director general del CERN, Rolf-Dieter Heuer. Las sesiones plenarias y especiales, que tendrán lugar entre el 7 y el 9 de julio, se podrán seguir a través de Internet.
El Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe exhibe por primera vez en España la exposición “Acelerando la ciencia” del CERN, una muestra interactiva que pretende inspirar la curiosidad del visitante mediante un viaje desde el origen del cosmos en el Big Bang hasta las aplicaciones que la investigación en física de partículas ha proporcionado en nuestra vida cotidiana.
Nearly one thousand of the most important scientists in the world will debate about the foremost topics concerning high energy physics. Some of those attending will be François Englert, 2013 Nobel Prize in Physics for the "Brout-Englert-Higgs mechanism", and Alan Guth, one of the founding fathers of the cosmic inflation theory after the Big Bang, which has recently received a significant support. CERN will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a special meeting led by its Director General, Rolf-Dieter Heuer, where the future of super-accelerators will be discussed.
Cerca de un millar de los científicos más relevantes del mundo debatirán sobre las cuestiones más actuales en física de altas energías. Entre los asistentes estarán François Englert, Nobel de Física 2013 por el "mecanismo Brout-Englert-Higgs", y Alan Guth, uno de los padres de la teoría de la inflación cósmica tras el Big Bang, que ha recibido recientemente un relevante respaldo empírico. El CERN celebrará con una sesión especial el 60 aniversario de su creación, presidida por su director general, Rolf-Dieter Heuer. También se debatirá sobre los superaceleradores del futuro.
